Caucasian R-AS5793
Description
This handwoven tribal runner features a series of geometric medallions arranged along the central axis, framed by angular motifs and a patterned border. Produced in the Caucasus during the mid-20th century, it is woven with a wool pile on a traditional foundation. The use of multiple medallions and dense ornamentation is characteristic of regional weaving practices that emphasize bold geometry and enduring symbolic motifs.
