Playful Turkish kilim with inclusions of brightly colored ribbon and evil eye symbols. These symbols are said to represent good luck. Originally woven as a utilitarian floor covering or inside of a tent as a room divider. Goat hair was commonly used in kilim rugs for both its strength as well as its water-resistant properties, it's texture similar in feel to sisal. Best used with a rug pad or layered to prevent slipping. Can also be used for upholstery.
