Description
This handwoven Kashan rug presents an allover floral design enclosed by a series of patterned borders. Produced in Central Iran during the mid-20th century, it is woven with a wool pile on a cotton foundation, exemplifying the refined techniques of Kashan workshops. The symmetrical arrangement of floral motifs and the use of multiple framing borders are characteristic features of this Persian weaving tradition.
